The word Grace spelled in wooden Scrabble times surrounded by small blue flowers

In John Bunyan’s classic book, Pilgrim’s Progress, we are introduced to the pilgrim, whose name is Christian, on his quest for the celestial city. Do you know what Christian’s original name was? He reveals it in a dialogue with the Porter:

Porter: What is your name?

Pilgrim: My name is now Christian, but my name at the first was Graceless.

As the great hymn, Amazing Grace, says, “I once was lost, but now am found; was blind, but now I see.”

What a wonderful thing to be people of God’s grace.

God’s grace should fill us with thanksgiving. God’s grace should create in us a Godly lifestyle. God’s grace should motivate us to do good works. God’s grace should compel us to reach others with the Gospel.
