“VISION” is a catchword in ministry circles. It’s a good word, one that Webster defines as “unusual discernment or foresight.” Some people have it, some don’t—it seems. What makes the difference? It’s the reality that a great vision is not something that comes from the ingenuity of a charismatic leader but comes from God.
Godly vision requires humility, passion, perseverance, conviction, relevancy, and adaptability. But, most importantly, Godly vision requires the emphasis to be on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and calling individuals to repentance and faith. What makes the difference? True vision comes from no man, but is only Gospel focused and comes only from God.
