A green countryside scene with fog rising and the words Psalm 23

As we pass the midway point of the year it can be natural to feel the weight of what’s behind while at the same time feel the uncertainty of what’s ahead. Last week I had the wonderful privilege of attending FUGE Camp with my sons and our youth group from Church. The Bible study theme of the week was focused on Psalm 23, and I wanted to share a few things the Lord spoke to me through this passage at this time.

  1. We lack nothing. Not because life is perfect, but because God is actively shepherding us.

  2. Restoration is God’s specialty especially when you feel drained, stretched thin, or spiritually dry.

  3. We need to realign our steps with His. Not through striving, but through following.

  4. God’s presence through struggles is not theoretical. It’s protective, comforting, and close.
